"GRIDS" - show at Cafe Pomegranate

I apologize for the lack up updates, lately.

Well, I have completely been silent for a while although I actually have another show running at this very moment! Right after the previous show at the Los Gatos Coffee Roaster was taken down, the next show went up at Cafe Pomegranate in downdown San Jose. This one is a collaboration with Mahoney Perkins and focuses on the theme of grids. This shouldn't come as a complete surprise if you have read my blog this year, because many of my pieces were grid based.

The grid theme started with painting exercises we did in Don Feasel's class earlier this year. Something about these grid exercises really resonated and I kept doing them and developed these pieces much further and I think the results are quite interesting. This show contains several of the early grids along with some of the very latest ones, interspersed with pieces by my friend Mahoney who also happened to think a lot about grids this year.

The show will be up till the end of the year. We are planning to have a reception early in December, probably on the 7th, but this is not confirmed yet. So stay tuned for updates after Thanksgiving!

Cafe Pomegranate is across the street from SJSU (San Jose State University): 221 E. San Fernando Street, San Jose, CA 95112. Their regular hours are 7:30 am - 7pm (Mon - Thu) and 7:30 am - 5pm (Fri)
