Monotypes

Hi again, it seems that slowly by surely I am indeed starting to create a bit more art again. Over the last 2 weeks I spent a lot of time working with letterpress. Most of this was spent sorting type (a very meditative task I found even if most people would consider it mindnumbing. But when you are looking for a "mindfulness" exercise there is probably very little that can beat that). I didn't print much yet but now we have several drawers of nicely sorted and cleaned type :)

Then I decided to start a series of monotypes. Monotypes can be relatively short-term projects. If you work only in one color and really mostly play around you can do a small series in 1 1/2 - 2 hours which is just perfect (including cleanup). So here are a few samples of some of these monotypes without any further comments. Enjoy.

Hey! I very much like the second and third from above and the lowermost one. They look like spiritual beings floating around, very floaty and transparescent!

Thanks, I like them exactly for the same reason too. I think I'll work a bit more in that direction. It's quite a new and interesting one :)
