Loki and Grumpy

As I haven't posted for a while I wanted to really send a quick update out. I am working an linocut that I quite like but is not completed yet. It's called "Loki and Grumpy". The design came from a rubbing I did in the hallway when I see that the wood there had some really neat texture. As I worked on it it became more and more two gnarly forest creatures in conversation.

I had planned to make only a monochrome print at first, but once I printed it I realized it really needs at least 2 colors. So I will continue to work on it. I like the idea to base prints on rubbings of wood textures or on photos of old pieces of wood so I will probably do more of these in the future...
